Help Keep Jillian and Buddy Together

After 12 years of domestic abuse, Jillian is finally beginning to rebuild her life. Through every moment of fear, trauma and uncertainty, her dog Buddy stayed by her side.

He comforted her during the darkest moments. He protected her when things became dangerous. He became her safety, her emotional support, and part of her family.

But there is a major challenge ahead. The program Jillian has been accepted into does not allow pets. This long-term program will give her the support she needs to heal and work toward stability for her family. It could change her life, but it may also mean saying goodbye to her best friend.

We can’t let that happen. 

Through SPCA International’s PAWsitive Recovery program, we help survivors and their pets stay together during recovery and treatment by providing safe boarding, veterinary care, food, and ongoing support.

Jillian and Buddy have already survived so much together. They deserve the chance to heal together, too.
